Kneesaa + Salvy

I am a millennial dog mom who loves my dogs so much that I started them their very own instagram account. It slowly became such a beautiful hobby and a way for us to connect with lots of other dog moms (and dads!) We began to connect with brands and products that we never would have had access to before. Our lives are an open book for you all and we hope to share the amazing products and lifestyle we have created via instagram.

My boyfriend, his name is Fox, and I adopted our sweet Kneesaa when she was around 3 months old. We re-homed her from a family who could not keep up with the husky temperament. Since I was a little girl I had dreamed of owning a husky. I knew my first dog would be a beautiful Siberian Husky. Kneesaa has been the perfect addition to our family and she is as sweet and stubborn as they come, but we wouldn’t change her for the world.

We decided we wanted to bring another dog into our home and along came Salvy! Salvy is a deaf boxer mix that was re-homed a bunch before finding his forever home with us! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies. I knew when we started looking that we wanted to rescue a pup and we had a few different things in mind. On a whim, I searched for deaf dogs needing to be re-homed and I fell in love with the sweetest spotted puppy pictures. The pictures were old, as Salvy was actually 9 months old when we adopted him, but that didn’t change anything. The second I saw this big (75lbs) beautiful baby jump out of the car, I knew he was coming home with me that day!

I had always heard people calling a dog their “heart dog” but never really understood it. Until we got Salvy. I honestly believe that Salvy is my heart dog. We are connected on a deeper level. I was the first person to give him language – using signs with him he learned so much the first night. He is Momma’s protector and shadow.

I can’t speak for him, but I also believe that Kneesaa is Fox’s heart dog. Kneesaa is not super affectionate and she loves him more than anything. She is his little princess and I just have a feeling that they were meant for each other.

As a huge animal lover, it is so hard to limit myself to only one or two animals. I also have a bearded dragon named Grizz who may also make some appearances (he is on instagram too @grizzlyadamsbeardie) I am passionate about giving animals a happy and healthy lifestyle with whatever accommodations we need to make.

As they say “I work so my dogs can have a better life.”
